Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Automation Controls Technician to join the New Idea Controls division of ATR Contractors. As a Building Automation Controls Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, fixing, and updating HVAC controls systems in commercial and industrial buildings. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Travel to various customer sites within a limited region to perform job duties
- Provide technical support in diagnosing control system issues
- Troubleshooting field controllers, network wiring
- Modify programming of controllers
- Utilize alarming and trending for troubleshooting purposes
- Work with customers to diagnose and analyze system issues and recommend corrective measures.
- Complete preventative maintenance program tasks on controls systems.
- Coordinate project and corrective measure tasks with other trades.
- Perform installations, programming, start-ups, & commissioning as required.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in building automation system controls
- Experience in programming of field controls is preferred
- BACnet controls system knowledge
- Experience with JCI Controls is beneficial
- Experience with HVAC equipment such as ventilation, DX cooling systems, hot water systems, chilled water systems, air handlers, VAV and VVT zoning systems, & related equipment required
- Ability to work with computers and MS Office
